The role involves processing data received into the system, using a high standard of administrative and problem solving skills so that the data can be analysed. This role is based in our Peterborough Office at the Peterborough Business Park in Lynchwood, providing easy access to the A1 and surrounding road networks. The Data Acquisition Associate is responsible for the receipt and processing of all non-electronic source data in accordance with ERT Standard Operating Procedures and Standard Work Instructions; maintaining all study related documentation after processing is complete; performing digital resolutions and assisting with special data entry and review projects as needed:  

1. Supports departmental workflow by receiving and processing source data into the appropriate operational systems
2. Confirms digital ECGs in the Expert system
3. Performs Self Evident Corrections in the Active Queries Queue in Expert.
4. Maintains minimum departmental metrics
5. Participates in required training programs
6. Reports any equipment and or system problems
7. Files source documents once workflow is complete
8. Monitors mailbox and distributes correspondence to appropriate Data Coordinator assigned to the study

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Archives closed studies upon notification of study lock
2. Attends Project Assurance meetings as required
3. Manages requests and maintains log of the removal and return of source documents from the operations filing system
4. Maintains accurate and organized source documentation files.
5. Assists with special data entry and review projects as needed.          

1. BS or BA degree in life sciences or related field preferred
2. 1 year data processing experience
3. Good organizational, problem solving and communication skills
4. Demonstrated computer proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Outlook
5. Detail orientated with good proofreading skills
6. Proficient data entry/typing skills
7. Ability to communicate effectively in English
